Word gets around quickly! Thanks for everyone's comments. Jypsy, I think Beth is correct. I use 'Kanner' to differentiate the diagnosis she has from that of AS or PDD-NOS. Not that I want to imply these are not 'autism' of course! She is less than ten years old, lets say that :o) Oh dear, now I feel guilty for being so mysterious. I hope nobody takes it the wrong way. Its just that I witnessed what happened to another autism dad's blog I used to read and I don't want to put my daughter (or myself!) through what happened there. Wow! Word gets around quickly! That's how I interpreted it since we (as a culture) are using the word Autism to refer to all types of PDD. I look forward to reading your upcoming blogs! Hi-
